Team Cephiro (from the "Magic Knights Rayearth" series)
A very complete team this is. Each members shines in a particular area,
giving great results in the scoreboard. Some people say that they achieve
so much thanks to their determination. Not very surprising since that's
the way Cephiro works.
Hikaru Shidou:
The girl is young, adorable and has that charming lovable girl aura
on her. She cares deeply for her friends and is always willing to help
in all that’s possible (sometimes even in the impossible). Since she became
a Magic Knight, she was granted with the power of fire (and a little something
extra called a Mashin, which could be interpreted as a giant robot, no
big deal =P). Anyway, her skills in basketball rely mostly on her speed
and agility.
Umi Ryuuzaki:
The second magic Knight. Umi is a little more impulsive than Hikaru
as well as short tempered. She can even be somewhat rude by times, but
in overall is a good person. Her powers consist of water based attacks
(she has a Mashin too) and her playing style is quite aggressive.
Fuu Hououji:
The third Magic Knight. Fuu, as her name says it, is calm as the wind.
Polite, friendly, responsible, charming and basically a nice person to
be around with. Her calm nature makes her better at the defense than the
offense, but she’s quite capable in changing that demeanor if the situation
demands it. Her powers, not surprisingly, are related to wind (plus the
default Mashin).
Ferio:
Fuu’s boyfriend and prince of Cephiro. Although young, Ferio carries
his royal duties with responsibility (which is kinda unexpected considering
how care free and lazy he used to be in the first season of the show).
This guy has no magical powers what so ever, but his big ass sword compensates
a lot. Has a good mixture of speed and strength (how else can he carry
that thing otherwise?).
Ascott:
Ascott altered his appearance in order to look around sixteen, although
he was a kid at once, his mind seem to have matured as well as his body.
His fighting skills are completely magical which involve the summoning
of monsters. That, however, he doesn’t use in basketball (at least that
we know of). His place in the field is left pole.
Lantis:
Who do you think dunks the ball in this team? Yep, that’s Lantis’ area.
He’s not someone who talks a lot, but action says more than words. As a
matter of fact, Lantis is the only Cephirian (I don’t known if it’s spelled
like that) who is a swordsman and a mage at the same time, and is quite
good at both. Although a team player, he also tends to act solo in more
than one occasion. Still, they say that in order to fool your enemy, you
have to fool your friends first. His end results are satisfactory though
and his team partners aprove of his methods.
